Two weeks ago, the FIGURE, Inc. Board of Directors assembled for the first time to discuss our plans for the upcoming school year.  Stay tuned to hear the results of this exciting meeting!

We want to take this opportunity to welcome two new members of our Board of Directors who joined us last month.  Vince Beresford is the Student Ministries Pastor at Yorba Linda Friends Church and has spoken all over the country about body image awareness and suicide prevention.  Kim Forrest is a Jr. High teacher here in Orange County and has been impacting the lives of her students in incredible ways for over 20 years.  We’re very excited about the wisdom and experience these two bring to round out our team.

After a year of waiting, FIGURE, Inc. is excited to announce that we have received approval from the US Internal Revenue Service as a non profit entity.  Our 501(c)(3) status means that we can accept donations tax-free and donors can receive a tax write-off for donating to us.  If you’ve been around here at all over the past years, you know how much this means to us.  Stay tuned for some very exciting announcements over the coming months!  Thank you for your support.

Just a quick update to let you know that we received Non-Profit Status approval from the State of California.  However, we’re still waiting on Federal approval (which is the really important one).  We’ll let you know when we hear something new.
